ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT (1994)
THE ASH GROVE (1995)
Both for string orchestra, the first with off-stage String Quartet, these are humorous encore pieces based (very!) loosely on famous Welsh tunes - and other red herrings - for the orchestra to play at the end of their final concerts at the Presteigne Festival in each of the years 1994 and 1995. They were requested by George Vass (naturally) who conducted the performances. The String Quartet in All Through The Night was the Alberni Quartet.
