CHILDREN OF BAGHDAD for string sextet (2 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos) (2003)
This work was commissioned by George Vass and the 2003 Presteigne Festival for the Raphael Ensemble, and premiered in Presteigne on August 22nd the same year. At the end of the score there is a quotation from Robert Fisk, journalist of The Independent newspaper in the UK, 'We bomb, they suffer'.
