SEPTEMBER SKY for voice (baritone) and string orchestra (1985)
Cantata setting a poem with the same title by the composer. First performed at the 1987 Malvern Festival by Brian Rayner Cook (baritone) with the English String Orchestra conducted by William Boughton, who had commissioned the work for the occasion. Later Brian Rayner Cook recorded the work for BBC Radio 3 with the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra.
