A short contemplative work for viols and lute based on John Dowland's Lachrymae, one of a set of pieces commissioned by Michael Berkeley from various composers to celebrate his 10th and final year as director of the Cheltenham Festival (2004).
The Times called Williams' contribution one of the 'chief joys' of the occasion.
